- Adolescent Structured Outpatient Group
The Adolescent Structured Outpatient Group targets adolescents’ ages 13-17 that have a primary substance abuse diagnosis. A secondary mental health diagnosis may be present, along with behavioral, family, social, legal and academic issues.
The group is held 1 ½ hours per day, two days per week and lasts for 12-24 weeks as deemed appropriate by individualized treatment plans. The unique facet to the structured group is family participation. The adolescents meet as a group on once per week and the Multi-family group, including parents, family and age appropriate siblings meets once per week.
Adolescents begin with an evaluation to determine diagnosis and to receive and overview of the program. If adolescents have and additional mental health diagnosis they can be seen by our psychiatrists and have individual sessions in addition to group.
The group includes didactic presentations of relapse prevention, denial, physiology of addiction, identifying symptoms, disease model, and introduction to 12 step support. Since the group is at least 12 weeks in duration the topics rotate, change and develop to meet the needs of the adolescents and families. There are also rotating visiting presentations from local doctors, law enforcement, and within the judicial system specializing in addiction. This group will provide support and encouragement to facilitate long term change and sobriety.
- Ambulatory Detoxification
This program serves those clients addicted to all classes of drugs. This program includes an initial evaluation which determines appropriateness of this level of care and development of an initial treatment plan. The next step is completion of a complete physical by our Medical Doctor and initiation of detoxification protocol.
Detoxification typically occurs over a 3-5 day period in which the client has daily contact with the doctor and therapist. At the completion of the detoxification phase clients will be encouraged to enter the appropriate level of treatment to address addiction / recovery. Family members and significant others are strongly encouraged to participate in support of detoxification and treatment.
Individuals wanting suboxone, we can provide this for opioid detox, and for individuals wishing to continue suboxone they can continue to use suboxone as part of their ongoing treatment, after detoxification as long as they remain engaged in therapy, and 12 step meetings.
