Alana has also been a mental health professional in a correctional setting, where she focused on crisis intervention, risk management, and suicide prevention as well as assisting individuals in connecting with community resources. Alana has seen clients in private practice since 2023 and enjoys serving clients with a variety of backgrounds and presenting concerns. Her specialties include mood and anxiety disorders, ADHD and the neurodivergent spectrum, addiction and co-occurring disorders, and affirming care for LGBT+ individuals.

As a therapist, Alana approaches each person uniquely, based on their own strengths and needs and utilizes a collaborative, solution-focused approach. Alana is affirming and open-minded, and utilizes humor (when appropriate), but is not afraid to challenge her clients to make changes to embrace their best selves. Alana believes in a holistic approach to therapy, and that all aspects of life contribute to a person’s “wellness”. Alana acknowledges that we are living in increasingly challenging times, and her goal is to help her clients cultivate a life of peace and joy.
