Stephanie Beaton, LMSW

Stephanie earned her BA in Psychology in 2018 and completed her Master’s in Social Work at the University of Michigan in 2019, specializing in Interpersonal Practice with a concentration in Mental Health a focus driven by her deep passion for the field. She began her career in community mental health, where she supported clients from diverse backgrounds, advocated for their needs, and helped them work toward meaningful goals. Stephanie also facilitated support groups through the National Alliance on Mental Illness, offering care to adults managing a wide range of diagnoses.

Since 2020, she has worked in private practice, primarily serving adult professionals in the metro Detroit area, while also gaining experience with adolescents. Stephanie takes a personalized approach to therapy, believing that effective treatment starts with a strong therapeutic relationship. She views each client as more than a diagnosis and creates a safe, welcoming space where they feel seen and supported. Her specialties include trauma, mood and anxiety disorders, ADHD and the neurodivergent spectrum, grief and loss, and affirming care for LGBTQ+ individuals and women.
