JESSICA HILLEN LMSW

Jessica Hillen is a Licensed Master Social Worker and has been working in the field of substance use disorders and mental health since 2014. She completed her Master’s degree from Wayne State University. She has worked in both inpatient and outpatient treatment facilities in both clinical and leadership roles. She has co-facilitated graduate level curriculum at Eastern Michigan University. She is passionate about helping those struggling with substance use disorders, mood disorders, adjustment disorders, obesity, and both interpersonal and family conflict. Jessica approaches her clients with a supportive, compassionate, and non-judgmental ear. Her primary methods include cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing, but she has experience in a multitude of other modalities. She believes in a strength-based and person-centered approach to help clients navigate their emotions and experiences. Her leadership style is based in being approachable and leading with integrity. Jessica is actively pursuing the Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional certifications. She believes strongly in supporting her community and currently sits on the Executive Board of the Northwest Wayne chapter of Families Against Narcotics.
