DR. SABA MAROOF

Dr. Maroof is a Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrist and enjoys seeing patients of all ages. She especially likes to work with patients in simplifying their medication regimen. 

She specializes in diagnosing and treating ADHD in all ages, as well as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder and adjustment disorders through life transitions and women’s mental health.  Her philosophy is utilizing medication when necessary, alongside therapy and behavioral changes.

She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. 

She completed her residency in Adult Psychiatry at Henry Ford Health System and fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Wayne State University / Children’s Hospital in Detroit.  She has been working in various outpatient settings in the Metro Detroit area since 2011.  

She enjoys lecturing to medical students and residents on various topics in psychiatry such as mood disorders, eating disorders, cultural competency, technology and mental health and ADHD.  She also enjoys speaking to faith-based communities on the importance of recognizing and treating mental illness in minority populations.   

She has been a proud member of the Rivers Bend team since 2015.
