Anna Roty, LPC
Anna is a licensed professional counselor and a board certified music therapist. She completed her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Wayne State University, and her Bachelors of Music in Music Therapy from Belmont University. Anna has experience with many populations, in both private practice, in-home care, and in nonprofit settings. Her experiences includes working with adults with brain injuries and spinal cord injuries, and with children and adults with a variety of mental health concerns, including trauma, OCD, Autism, anxiety disorders and ADHD.
Anna believes music (and creativity in general) is an essential part of being human. She enjoys utilizing music in sessions and considering how musical interventions like songwriting, singing, or music listening could be one part of your healing journey. But, if that’s not your style, that is ok! She also pulls from various evidence based methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and mindfulness practices. Whether you’re looking for traditional talk therapy, music therapy, or a little bit of both, her goal is to create the therapeutic experience that works for you.
