KAREN WILLIS LMSW, CAADC

Ms. Willis received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Oakland University and went on to complete a master’s in social work degree from Wayne State University. She has been working as a therapist for 18 years and has a passion for helping individuals to overcome stigmas and redefine themselves as confident and capable by employing cognitive restructuring strategies to help individuals re-frame their perceptions of themselves and their environment.

Ms. Willis has experience in school and outpatient settings dealing with issues of depression/mood disorders, anxiety disorders, bi-polar disorder, grief and loss, anger management and all types of addiction. She also has experience with families and individuals in transition. Ms. Willis is an ally of the LGBTQ+ community and has experience in helping individuals embrace their authentic self.

Ms. Willis earned a certification in alcohol and drug counseling (CAADC) in 2008 and has specialized in the treatment of adults and adolescents who are dealing with co-occurring diagnoses. She is effective in helping clients to work through mental health and substance use issues in an all-encompassing approach.
